We planted several heirloom peach trees at Beekman 1802 Farm a few years ago, and have been pleasantly surprised at how well they've thrived through our tough winters. Because of our short season, our peaches don't ripen until September, but for those few weeks we have them around, our smiles are permanently sticky. We add a little fresh ginger to our peach jam to give the late summer sweetness a little playful bite.
Ingredients
Peaches, sugar, water, lemon juice, fresh ginger, dried ginger, vanilla, pectin, butter. Uses real fruit, may contain pieces of pit.
