HOLIDAY TURKEY TIP: Combine equal parts melted butter, orange juice (or apple cider,) and rosemary honey. (approximately 1/2 cup each.) Brush mixture over turkey intermittently while roasting.

Beekman 1802 Rosemary Creamed Honey is made from pure raw honey harvested from Beekman 1802 Farm, blended with fragrant rosemary. Try it as an accompaniment to Beekman Blaak Cheese, or spread it on sandwiches. Also wonderful as a glaze for grilled fruit, or added during the last minutes of roasting on chicken or pork. All of our creamed honeys are whipped, to make them easily spreadable with a knife.

The birth of American beekeeping can be traced directly to the Mohawk Valley surrounding Sharon Springs. In the 1800s, Moses Quimby invented the smoking can still in use today, and his honey would have been stocked on the shelves of William Beekman's original Mercantile.

Today, Beekman 1802 Farm is home to over 40 beehives, producing about 15,000lbs of honey a year. It takes 648 bees working a full season to produce each 9 oz jar of sweet goodness. The Beekman bees think it's all worth it (and so do we.)
