Exclusive Beekman 1802 Hand-Forged Design. Stays Sharper Longer & Cuts More Cleanly.

First Rule: Never head off into the woods without an axe. Second Rule: Make sure it's our Beekman Camp Axe.

What's so different about our Camp Axe? Well, for starters, it's made of two separate materials, wrought iron + steel. They're hammered together by hand at our Blacksmith's forge to create an unequaled cutting edge. It's harder than either iron or steel alone, so it keeps it's edge longer. It also cuts cleaner. Think of it more like a kitchen knife than a blunt object.

This extra strong & sharp edge is great for a range of camp tasks, from chopping and splitting wood, to butchering game, to carving utensils, this axe will last forever if cared for properly. Our Blacksmith has even shaved with it, though lawyers everywhere would probably demand that we recommend against it. Also...this just in from the lawyers: Always wear appropriate safety goggles & gear when using axe.

The hand-carved handle is finished using an ancient Japanese technique that preserves wood by charring it with fire. The process involves charring the wood, cooling it, cleaning it and finishing it with a natural oil. Although a time consuming process, it helps the handle resist fire, rot, insects, and prolongs the lifespan of the handle.

    Care Instructions:

Always protect the edge when not in use.
Never strike axe into dirt or other surface that will allow it to become damaged, such as concrete or stone.
Never strike the back of the axe with a hammer, stone or other heavy object. This will cause the eye of the axe to become distorted.
Never allow the axe to become wet. This will cause the head to rust and the handle to become loose.

    Length of axe is 18.5"
    Length of head is 5.5"
